Residential rebate program

Black Hills Energy encourages residential customers to purchase and install qualifying energy efficient equipment. We have rebates for many energy products to help customers use less energy and save money on their energy bill.

Products include:

  • Heat Pumps - Air Source and Mini Splits
  • Air Conditioners
  • Evaporative Coolers
  • Home Appliances - Refrigerators/Freezers, Dishwashers, Clothes Dryers/Washers, Air Purifiers, Dehumidifiers, Smart Power Strips, & Heat Pump Water Heater

Residential new construction

The Residential New Construction program promotes the construction of ENERGY STAR® certified energy efficient single-family and multifamily homes by providing incentives to new home builders for the installation of high efficiency heating, water heating, and cooling equipment and more robust thermal envelope measures. 

  • Performance Path: Builders construct a home to meet a HERs rating of ≤65 w/ ENERGY STAR v.3 certificate.
