With the stroke of a pen, Wyoming’s Director of Operations, Dustin McKen re-affirmed Black Hills Energy’s support of National Guard and Reserve programs.

The Employer Support Guard Reserve (ESGR) Statement of Support program is the cornerstone of ESGR’s efforts to gain and maintain employer support of the Guard and Reserve. The intent of this program is to increase employer support by encouraging employers to act as advocates for employee participation in the military.

“ESGR is a valuable tool, in terms of providing communication channels between an employee serving in the military and their company,"

“ESGR is a valuable tool, in terms of providing communication channels between an employee serving in the military and their company, said Alan Stoinski, Program Manager Energy Efficiency and Chief Master Sergeant 153rd Airlift Wing. “Being a member of the military myself, I know first-hand the value of open communication between the employer and military employee, this type of support is vital to both the mission and company’s operations.”

The Black Hills Energy Veteran Engagement Team (VET) is spearheading a project to garner Statements of Support from each state in our territory.  We are advocates for serving members, employer support is critical in maintaining the strength and readiness of National Guard and Reserve units.
