2019 PSCo Mile High Lineman's Rodeo - Canon City, Colorado
linemans rodeo

Our Canon City Journeyman Lineman Cody, Jesse, and Zach joined 27 teams and 165 apprentices at the 2019 PSCo Mile High Lineman’s Rodeo.

The rodeo events are based on traditional lineman tasks that are critical to the jobs the employees perform every day. Scores were based on safety, correct work procedure, and timely completion of the event. Rocky Ford Operations Supervisor, Glen Livengood returned for his second year as a judge for the Mile High Lineman’s Rodeo.

Cody, Jesse, and Zach competed in the team division which consisted of three Journeyman Lineman or two Journeyman Lineman plus a Utility Worker. The team competed in four events: pole climb with a raw egg, hurt-man rescue and two mystery events (Mystery Event #1- Replace Simulated Energized 4KV Primary Crossarm and Mystery Event #2- Rope Splice).

Mile High Lineman’s Rodeo is a great team-building and family-oriented event. This event was a success and we look forward to next year!!
