Our Rapid City employees volunteered during the annual United Way Day of Caring community work day, September 5, 2019. The team helped with landscaping activates (pulling weeds, transplanting plants) and cleaning up the parking lot around the Journey Museum & Learning Center located by the Civic Center in preparation for its debut on CSPAN. Black Hills Energy teamed up with other organizations throughout the community an effort to complete the large amount of landscaping work that awaited.
The Journey Museum & Learning Center brings the history of the Black Hills to light and explains the connections of science and culture to its visitors. Their mission is to preserve, educate and explore the heritage, cultures and environment of the Black Hills region to understand our past, enrich our present and sustain our future.
