Black Hills Energy achieved the Gold Medallion Award for exemplary efforts in recruiting
medal

We are proud to announce we have achieved the Gold Medallion Award for exemplary efforts in recruiting, employing and retaining our nation’s veterans. Our company has demonstrated both patriotism and recognition of the value veterans and military members bring to the workplace.

Jennifer Landis, Chief Human Resources Officer shared, “We recognize the sacrifices our colleagues and their military families have made. As an organization, comparable to the military, we offer stability and a strong team culture. Our VET (Veteran Engagement Team) is an employee resource group focused on supporting this vital segment of our workforce. We are proud to receive this award and will continue to strive to be workplace of choice for veterans, active service members and military spouses.”

Our Brett Anderson, Director of Supply Chain and VET Board Chair shared, “What has made our VET (Veterans Engagement Team) successful is the passion our employees and leadership have shown in supporting Veterans and military members. Our team recognized early on that we needed to benchmark ourselves against a high standard, and the Department of Labor’s Medallion award program allows us to do just that.”
