Kicking COVID-19 in Council Bluffs, Iowa
vaccination

When a pandemic strikes no one has to be more prepared than the local county health department. Besides navigating all the regular public health initiatives they oversee, the recent COVID-19 crisis added another full-time coordination effort to their responsibilities.

Black Hills Energy is proud to have supported the recent Pottawattamie County COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Council Bluffs, Iowa with donated water and employee personal energy. The staff put a great deal of work, effort, and coordination into making this process easy, timely and hassle-free, and the whole process was incredibly smooth. Those receiving vaccinations worked their way through initial check-in, verification, the injection and a 15-minute recovery where they were given water. Staying well hydrated before and after is key to mitigate some of the side-effects. Kudos to all involved!

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
