Pulling planes for nonprofits in Arkansas
two men pulling a plane

Community members in Northwest Arkansas recently celebrated a weeklong military and first responder celebration festival, Honor Fest, put together by the City of Bentonville and multiple partner organizations. The goal of the event was to celebrate our nation’s heroes and applaud the work they have done to protect and serve the American people.

The week consisted of several events ranging from community service projects to friendly athletic competitions. Many of the events were presented by military and veteran support programs, helping spread the message about mental and physical health assistance opportunities available to members of these communities.

Our team from Fayetteville, Arkansas, participated in Honor Fest this year in the Aircraft Haul event at Thaden Field, hosted by Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA). Teams competed against each other to see who could pull an airplane the fastest, and all funds raised went towards SDIA’s mission to support and rehabilitate our nation’s heroes. Their program, Get Off The Couch, helps veterans and first responders heal from traumatic events they have faced during their time in service.

Despite placing third in the Aircraft Haul competition, members of our team enjoyed raising funds for worthy military and first-responder support organizations who are changing the lives of every person they help.

We would like to thank John Rowland, business development manager in Arkansas, for coordinating our company’s involvement in this event.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Follow us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedInTwitter, YouTube, and Pinterest for more!
